On the weekend of April 8th and 9th, the 2006 US ARDF Championships was held in Umstead State Park, near Raleigh, North Carolina.  The woods were mostly open, with some well-mapped areas of trees downed by Hurricane Fran.  Although there was a severe weather concern during the 2m event, there was only a little rain.  Otherwise, the weather was about perfect.  Nadia and Charles Scharlau did an amazing job.  The courses were tough, but fun, and the organization was very well done.
